How can I make this dress bridal shower appropriate?
I bought this dress awhile back for my bridal shower, which will be in mid-August.

It’s super cute but it just doesn’t seem like an appropriate bridal shower dress, especially for me, the bride. (It’s simultaneously short and low)
Can you think of anything I can do to make it more…conservative, I guess? Without stifling, because it will be mid afternoon in the summer….
That is a super cute dress! You may not have to tone it down depending on where your bridal shower is and your personal preference. For example, if you’re having just a small get together at someones house and/or it’s a more informal event, I think you would be just fine with the dress and some awesome accessories. If you’re having a larger more formal event say at a banquet hall or restaurant, you could try and pair the dress with some type of cover up. You could try and find a cover up that hits near the elbow, is a lighter material, and stops somewhere near the chest and doesn’t go all the way down to your waist. These are a bit harder to find, but I think overall you wouldn’t need something. Who cares what people think…You’re the bride!
